Description
The Alarm
Accept
Module (AAM)
is can be
used
wherever
fire brigade
or
engineered
solutions
allow use to
assist in
reducing
false alarm
calls to
brigade.
Operation:
Each AAM is
installed
within the
self
occupied
unit (SOU)
together
with a
non-latching
addressable
detector
with an
addressable
sounder base
fitted.
When the
smoke
detector is
activated,
the
addressable
sounder in
the room is
also
activated.
The occupant
then has an
Alarm
Acknowledgement
Period
(nominally
30s) to
press the
button on
the AAM to
prevent
transmission
of the alarm
to the fire
brigade.
Failure to
do so will
cause the
alarm to
transmit
immediately.
Pressing the
button on
the AAM will
give the
occupant an
Alarm
Investigation
Period (up
to 180s) to
clear the
cause of the
alarm and
therefore
return the
system to
normal
state.
Failure to
clear the
alarm within
this period
will cause
the alarm to
transmit
immediately
