Sensor Duct Probes, which are available in
both conventional and addressable format.
With a wide range of
air velocity and temperatures, these new duct probes fit
most applications.

probe to accommodate smaller duct housings.

FireSense
announces New OWS Amplifiers
We are pleased to announce the release of our
new digital OWS amplifier range which can be
built into panels or sold in kit form for
retrofit. The amplifier module is fully
programmable with 10 preinstalled digital
speech messages and 17 different OWS tones.
Amplifiers also have the ability to be
slaved together to one common
control/microphone with automatic tone
synchronisation.
This product represents a substantial step
forward in OWS amplifier technology and has
many useful features. The new digital OWS
amp is currently available in 30W, 120W and
250W configurations (60w to follow shortly).
Digital OWS amplifiers will be supplied
standard with all Firesense panels as of
July 1 and are available for immediate
supply on request.

Auburn Hospital
Project
Complete
The newly
redeveloped Auburn Hospital will begin taking
its first patients this month.
The $145
million hospital boasts six new
operating theatres, 24 hour emergency care,
state of the art maternity wards and a 184 bed
capacity.
FireSense provided
the hospital with a turn-key solution comprising
of 2 x networked EWIS panels, 2 x 2800 Networked
Fire Alarm panels, 25 x Nurse call stations and
a High Level Colour Graphics System allowing
total control of the entire site.

Epping To Chatswood Rail Line Opens -
FireSense Protection In Stations
The long awaited "Missing
Link" of Sydney's railway networked opened this month.
An
underground network of 4 x multi level rail platforms
linking Epping Station, Delhi Rd, Macquarie Park and
Macquarie University to the existing Chatswood Railway
Station.
FireSense provided each station with a network of 3
x 2800 Fire Alarm panels to control local detection and low
pressure CO2 extinguishing system control. Each station was
then individually networked over TCP/IP (internet) to an
OnyxWorks head end control PC located in the city control
centre for seamless remote control and monitoring.
Each station also has a
network of I-2000 EWIS panels interfacing with platform
broadcasting systems.

Plant Contract
FireSense has
been awarded the contract for supply of
equipment of the
Sydney Desalination
Plant.
Comprising
a complex Network of 2800 Fire Alarm Panels combined with
“state of the art” addressable Digital Voice Communicators (DVC’s)
and a network of VESDA’s this is a high profile and complex
project that FireSense is proud to be associated with.
Completion
of the project is due late 2009.

Trainers
FireSense can now offer VESDA Accreditation Training as it
is now a certified training organisation for VESDA systems
in NSW/ACT.
The 2 day course is run by Rob Kaslik and Mike Thomas at the
new FireSense offices located in Norwest Business Park. The intensive course will cover the latest in
product developments, as well as provide detailed
information on design, installation, commissioning and
maintenance of VESDA systems.

New Range of Addressable Sounders
A new range of addressable sounders is now available from FireSense,
an
addressable
sounder base
(part no.
KAC-ABS32W)
and an
addressable sounder & strobe
(part no.
KAC-ABS32WR).
These
products are designed for mounting under an addressable
detector which is connected to the FireSense 2800
addressable fire alarm system.
A standard
mounting base ((KAC-LPBW) is used for cable terminations.
The addressable sounder or sounder & strobe "clicks" onto the
mounting base and then the addressable detector "clicks"
onto the sounder or sounder/strobe making installation
simple and efficient. No standard detector base is
required.
